Tasting Notes

At the moment the wine is showing its beautiful youth. However, the complexity is already beginning to show through the notes of spices and very fine black fruit. A mouthful of structure and powerful tannins give it a long and very pleasant finish. Store in a cool place without temperature extremes.

Winemaking Process

Grapes selected from the best plots of land on two of the Messias family estates - Douro and Bairrada. Individual hand-picking, berry by berry, followed by fermentation with indigenous flora in small lagares with no temperature control. Aged for 18 months in French oak barrels. Bottle ageing from May 2019.
